Me, Mum, and Mickey

I went to the HK Disneyland on National Day (a public holiday) expecting to be crushed by the crowds and stuck in the neverending lineups. I guess you could say I wasn't really looking forward to it. But to my surprise I really enjoyed the day with my mum! The crowds weren't that bad. Apparently lots of people went to Ocean Park too. The most we had to lineup for was 1 hour, with other rides averaging in at around 20 min. The food was cheaper than I expected, and we managed to make it through the entire park without totally exhausting ourselves. The highlights were Space Mountain (a tamed down version), the 3-D movie consisting of all my fav disney songs;), and the best was a live performance of Lion King (broadway style, but condensed into 30 min.). I must say I hugely admire the constant peppiness of the staff despite 30 degree tropical weather (especially felt sorry for the ones in character costumes). All the staff was SUPER nice and smiley (their faces must be in pain from all the smiling). I guess Disneyland is a magical place after all (I'm not being sarcastic).
