Coming Out of Retirement

Update on Korea job. I decided not to take it. Basically I couldn't find anything in Seoul, and I didn't really feel like living in the suburbs. Also there were many other reasons. I didn't feel ready to leave HK yet either.

I've accepted the job here in HK. It's teaching English at a private language centre. It will be an interesting learning experience since I get to work with kiddies of different ages. Up to form 5. I'm quite excited to start next week. Will definitely update more next week about how it goes.

At the same time, I have a friend in town, and a friend soon to be leaving. That adds up to a lot of outings and activities and food. It's made my last week of "freedom" very action packed and productive:). I finally went cycling from Tai Wai to Tai Po like I've always wanted, had a LOST half-marathon, and ate lots of hotpot.

I've been also getting back into shape, or trying, for the Beat the Banana Fun Run. It's for charity, there'll be a guy dressed up as a banana and the rest of us have to try to run faster than him. It's only 3.5km. Still, definitely need to train. It'll help me work up to 10km run in March.

All in all, it's looking to be a great 2007, almost Chinese New Year, can't wait!!

but you have to understand teaching at a learning center can't get a high salary or get promoted to anyplace. are you planning to stay and teach at a learning center after 5 years? 10 years?
